Statue of the General Lafayette

Around August 19th to the 20th 1777 at the Moland house in Warwick Pennsylvania, 19 year old General Lafayette met with George Washington to officially enter in the great war against Britain. It was there, that General Washington and Lafayette developed a father son relationship which continued long after the war. Lafayette was injured during the battle of Brandywine. He continued to serve gallantly in Washington's army and proved to be extremely valuable to the cause. It was lafyette's influence in France which helped to provide military aide from France to help expell the British empire from the new independant soil of America.

It is this site's 1st mission to spread awareness that on July 5th Warwick township has passed a resolution to permit Gregory Marra, a local bucks county sculptor, to build the statue of General Lafayette to be placed on the lawn of the Moland house.
